Timber Bi-fold Doors

Bi-fold doors are a fantastic simple and effective way to divide a room or wish to open up your living area and let your home be flooded with sunlight, our custom made timber Bi-fold doors are an elegant and versatile option allowing you to make the most of the space in your home.

Unlike the cheaper veneer finished Bi-fold doors used by other companies, at Door STOP all of our Bi-fold doors, frames and architraves are crafted from a choice of high quality solid hardwood, including Western Red Cedar, Jarrah and dark red Meranti.


Track and Bearing System:

Having studied the different track and bearing systems available for Bi-fold doors on the market, at Door STOP we have chosen the superior quality, usability and durability of Centor Architectural, a company whose product far exceeds that of its competitors.

Manufactured in Australia using Swiss CNC machine tools and precision ground bearings, and backed with a 10 year architectural guarantee, Centor offers a simple, elegant and functional product that makes it the right choice for our Bi-fold doors.

Because we use Centor hardware, all Door STOP timber Bi-fold doors are suitable for use in exposed applications. Use of the recommended weather seal has also allowed these door systems to pass both Australian and international weather proofing codes.


 

Glazing


All Door STOP timber Bi-fold doors are glazed with 6.38mm laminated glass, comprising of two pieces of glass bonded with a flexible Polyvinyl Butryal (PVB) interlayer.

This interlayer provides a barrier against penetration and makes laminated glass a safer and far more secure option for external Bi-fold doors. As well as being a much tougher, shatterproof alternative to standard glass, laminated glass also provides improved acoustic damping properties compared to that of standard float glass.

Aluminium Sliding Doors

Door Stop’s aluminium sliding doors are a more modern and heavy duty alternative to the typical off the shelf sliding door, Designed to be used in commercial buildings and high rise apartments where weather tight, secure and heavy duty doors are a must these doors regularly exceed expectations in a standard residential environment,
 
Even though Door Stop’s aluminium sliding doors are extremely heavy duty they have a very streamline look and with the ability to have door panels of up to 1200mm wide you are able to enjoy almost uninterrupted views whilst having peace of mind that your doors are secure & weather tight,

 
     


With options of 2, 3, 4 or 6 panels Door Stop’s aluminium sliding doors can be manufactured to fit almost any sized opening, configurations give the option of having a 2 or 4 panel door with the ability to open half of the space or 3 or 6 panel stacking doors with the ability to open 2/3 of the space,

All Door Stop aluminium sliding doors are made-to-measure in our Joondalup, Western Australia workshop before being professionally installed onsite - a process that takes just one day.

Door Stop’s timber sliding doors are a stylish and extremely heay duty option for openings no matter how small or large where bi-fold or a traditional hinged door isn't an option or where the widest panels possible are required to preserve the view outside,
Desinged with Western Australia's harsh coastal conditions in mind all Door Stop timber sliding doors have 4 solid stainless steel self leveling wheels on each door that run on a solid brass track ensuring that even with doors up to 1500mm wide the doors will glide along at the touch of a fingertip,
 


With options ranging from a typical 2 panel sliding door up to 3 panels sliding one way over a fixed end panel and double this going both ways Door Stop's timber sliding doors can act as a giant glass wall that can instantly and easily be opened in a matter of seconds,
